On Nov. 28, the Hermann FFA chapter took a bus of FFA members to National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.
“It was really fun, we met a lot of people and experienced new things. The honey farm was educational and it was a good learning experience, ” said Hattie Portell (11).
National Convention is a four day event that includes FFA chapters from all around the United States to participate in meetings, listen to speakers, attend different workshops, and participate in a variety of activities.
“This year we focused more on the Smith Hughes Act [at the convention] because it was the 100th year anniversary. The Act established vocational ag classes to be taken in school,” says Shey Mundwiller (11).
